Favourite images of 2011

Now that 2012 is in full swing and before the wedding season picks up momentum I decided that I would choose my 50 favourite images from the weddings and engagement sessions that I shot last year. This was definitely no easy task as there are so many that I like but all of these images appeal to me for various reasons so here they are in no particular order

Marc & Tracy @ The Du Boirs

Garrith, Jodi and Odie

I first met Garrith and Jodi in March this year when I photographed their wedding. Since then they have adopted the oh so adorable Odie from the SPCA and they decided to have a family shoot done to capture this gorgeous little guy and his cutie pie personality. Here are some of my favourites

The Hull Family

I first met Neil and Leigh-Anne when I shot their wedding several years back. They now have a gorgeous 4 month old addition to their family, little Matthew who is undoubtedly the apple of his Dad’s eye. It was fabulous catching up with them and meeting Matthew who seemed to enjoy posing for the shots. Here are a few of my faves.

The Moodley Family shoot

Over the weekend I got together with Marlin and Thamaine and their gorgeous and exceptionally bright little daughter Vidya to do a family shoot. I just love some of the shots of Vidya with a flower. Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot

Neeshal & Keshnee @ Siva Sungum

The Gordon Family

Last year we did a maternity shoot for Julani and Jason when they were expecting Summer who is now a year old already. The new addition , little Stella will soon be making her apperance so we got together with them for a sunrise family shoot on the beach.  Although it stayed cloudy throughout the shoot it was great being on the beach that early. Here are a few of my faves

The Du Toit Family

I have a long photographic history with Liesel and Jacques and their family. Not only was I there to record their wedding, but also their first maternity session and then again when little Emma made her appearance. This photoshoot was to welcome the newest addition to their family, their son Jorden. Here are a few of my faves from the session

Shelley & Julian’s Engagement shoot

Shelley and Julian decided that they wanted to do an engagement shoot on the beach as apparently Julian really loves the sand and sea. We ended up having to postpone the first shoot as it was raining on the day but in true Durban fashion the second scheduled date arrived and the weather wasn’t a whole lot better. We decided to go ahead with the shoot anyway as their wedding is just around the corner and we were running out of time. The wind was blowing so hard that at times I was battling to hold my camera steady but Shelley and Julian didn’t let the weather bother them and they just relaxed and had fun. Thanks guys, you were great and here is hoping that you have a fabulous wedding day :-)
